An education technology company aimed to create an online learning platform.
The platform allows users to choose any online course and join a group with a dedicated team of teachers, mentors, and trainers. The solution provides the possibility to book additional personal classes to catch up with the rest of the group, get the recording of the missed online class, and get access to all the provided materials.
During the whole period of studies, the students pass the examinations and get the scores that are calculated all together by the end of the course. Those students who did not pass the examination successfully can book the additional examination that includes an online theory check and online test task. After the completion of the studies and presenting diploma projects, the users get the certificates and the ability to be employed by the company's business partners. They can immediately use their skills on real projects and start gaining commercial experience.
The front end was built using React to provide an interactive and responsive user interface. The backend was developed using Django to manage user accounts, course content, and assessments. The platform now includes real-time video streaming using WebRTC for virtual classes and interactive sessions. The project also involved collaboration with educational content specialists to curate and upload course materials. The project is still in progress, maintained by the JDOT IT team.
